What did Elon Musk do this time.

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Note: It is the desire of the leadership of SFDebris Conglomerate that all posters maintain a civil and polite bearing in this forum, regardless of how you feel about any particular issue. Violators will be turned over to Captain Janeway for experimentation.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. George Orwell, 1984.

The funny part being, that it doesn't matter whether it was an accidental idiocy or intentional display, because the man is either an obvious Nazi, if he did it intentionally or a complete moron being divorced from reality, lacking any hint of introspection, if he did it accidentally.

Funny thing I just saw some MAGA supporters do screenshots of a handful of liberal politicians/former presidents making the same hand motion.

Except it's just them waving goodbye. But they are trying to pass this off already as nothing burger.
I got nothing to say here.

He had a special MAGA hat commissioned with the words in Fraktur that he wore to campaign events. You don't do a deep cut reference like that by accident.

Plus that salute was way too clean to be a mistake. He practiced that in the mirror.

Don't even BOTHER trying to argue with these people. Facts don't register to them, period. They are demanding you take THEIR argument seriously while they never will for yours.
Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

I tried - you simply cannot do it. They cannot understand the concept of what makes a salute vs a wave.

As someone once said, think of the person that you hate the most, and then realise that there are a billion more people like him or her out there.

"Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past". -Jean-Paul Sartre

They're not really the openly anti-semite kind of fascist (yet) but the technique is the same.

Exactly. People have been complaining about everything the Democrats have done the last several years, if the ones in the images had really done this it would have been all over twitter as soon as it happened.

We all have seen things like this. Justification for actions, statements, etc made by their leaders and trying to do whataboutism to make the argument muddled and confused. Or interprete as basically it's okay as long as they do it, but not okay if liberals do something vaguely similar.

Remember everytime Trump speaks everyone has to use some form of Trump interpretation of what they think he is saying. Even if it's clear cut in what he is saying. He is only being literal if he makes sense to them but not literal if it sounds a bit iffy. Or he is just joking.

Or they just sling back what liberals say about them. As in the 'Biden Cult' in response to the MAGA cult.
I got nothing to say here.
