I'm reminded of the Captain America: Sam Wilson run by Spencer. He wanted to do a "both sides" handling of issues and did a bunch of liberals attempting to assassinate a Right Wing politician doing a speech at a university. It had the bad timing of being released right at the time that a guy with a gun attempted to assassinate a politician doing a speech at a universe. Except he was a Right Wing nutter trying to kill a liberal.
Spencer was deluged with letters basically saying, "There are bad actors but maybe you should suggest one side is more prone to being the bad guy." Which, of course, triggered its own firestorm from the right who already hated being attacked by Sam Wilson in the early issues. "Not my Captain America' and all that.
Which, of course, sank Sam Wilson's comic run.

''Strong and independent until the Titanic sinks'' is how I saw one guy on Twitter describe modern feminism and he really isn't wrong.Frustration wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:43 pm Unthinking and credulous feminism is as harmful as misogyny.
The common factor is, of course, stupid people; however, there's no panacea for stupidity short of the grave.
As an example: Amber Heard is strong and independent, able to take a crap on a guy's bed and tell him to his face that no one will believe that she beats him... until she needed to turn on the waterworks in court today. Then suddenly she's a 1950s woman who needs protecting.
And people wonder why anti-feminism is a growth industry. Women like Amber Heard have made many members of the Youtube MGTOW community very rich indeed.
Re: Depp V Heard
It's more about feminists knowing that one of the areas where men don't dominate is in the court system when it comes to family affairs. It's been well known that men face abuse from their wives or girlfriends and nothing is really done about it. And it's been on the rise for awhile now.clearspira wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:32 am''Strong and independent until the Titanic sinks'' is how I saw one guy on Twitter describe modern feminism and he really isn't wrong.Frustration wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:43 pm Unthinking and credulous feminism is as harmful as misogyny.

Amber Heard is just like many people who just get caught. Big and strong behind doors and the waterworks happens when it comes into public view.
On another note, after watching some segments, Amber's lawyer seems like he was hired from Wish or something.
I got nothing to say here.

Johnny Depp has won. A big victory has been won against the dogmatism of MeToo and the concept of ''Believe All Women.'' Women can be abusers too. Innocent until proven guilty is the most important and fundamental right we all have and is now more important than ever. For those who doubt that cancel culture is a thing, look at how completely this man's life and career was destroyed upon a single sentence from this bitch ''he hit me.''
I hope that the man now has a full career after this. The worse thing that can happen is that we have another Brandon Fraser on our hands.

He got $15 million from Heard, but then had to pay her $2 million for his lawyer calling her claims a hoax. She's claiming Depp's power and influence are responsible for the verdict.
End result: nothing is truly resolved.

He's a multimillionaire who hasn't had a decent performance in a decade.clearspira wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 7:54 pm For those who doubt that cancel culture is a thing, look at how completely this man's life and career was destroyed upon a single sentence from this bitch ''he hit me.''
That's a wierd comparison because MeToo was a major part of Fraser's return as he had previously been blackballed due to reporting sexual abuse.I hope that the man now has a full career after this. The worse thing that can happen is that we have another Brandon Fraser on our hands.

Interesting you think that because I would think any victory for someone against an abuser is a victory for #MeToo. Because at the heart it is a triumph of someone believing Johnny Depp who was abused and purging someone attempting to subvert a good movement.clearspira wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 7:54 pm Johnny Depp has won. Yeah it's not a victory against Me Too but a victory for it. One of the things that's forgotten is that the Me too was male inclusive.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 2:30 amInteresting you think that because I would think any victory for someone against an abuser is a victory for #MeToo. Afterall, many many were following and supporting Depp due to a severe lack of representation of violence on men from women.

I think clearspria regards MeToo and similar movements as predominantly a squad of sjws leveraging socio political power.
