It's also got a budget bigger than several of the next-biggest military budgets combined. Imagine if we spent just a fraction of that on things that help people instead of killing brown foreigners for their oil.

The military budget for the US is incredibly large. About three times larger than China and a little less than four times that of Russia. Combined, they come up about less than two thirds of the US.

You could make the argument that the US spends this money so the military uses the best of the best. Sure. Also make the argument Russia's military expenses is also filled with big time corruption. So their money doesn't go as far as it should.

But I also know that the US military can certainly trim the fat on their budget if a bean counter, a non partison one with no agenda could find true fraud and wasteful expending without any drop in military efficiency.

I doubt it that will happen at all with the US under Trump. Probably not with the Democrats.

They're not cutting any money from the military. Trump and Elon just signed a massive new boost for military contracts and want to raise the debt ceiling another 4 trillion dollars.

Take note that OF ALL THE DEBT in the United States' history, a quarter comes from Trump's Presidency.

Trump pissing off elements of the Republican party is probably the only good way that this'll end. I doubt that enough of them will put their necks on the chopping blocks though - maybe after the mid-terms.

You already know how this is going down, whether they're "fair" aka regular elections or elections of the new order. Doesn't make a difference. Voter supression is the only thing that kept the Republicans afloat for decades by now.

I wouldn't count out voter fraud. Like they will allow liberals to vote but don't be surprised if somehow your vote is changed automatically to a Republican. Not everyone's vote, just enough to make it look like it's fair but enough to still win.
