The boogeyman of "the left" constantly amuses me. You ask someone like Captain Crimson about "the left eating their own", and he'll be happy to tell you that the left constantly engages in ideological purity tests, exiles their own, turns on each other, etc.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 9:29 pmAnd we see this everywhere in the cultural landscape now. H, take the entertainment industry. You literally cannot escape the politics why, and yet it's easy to admit the reason. It's because these SJW leftist types are getting angrier and angrier at the world, the "filthy GOP" and how "evil, awful, inhuman, and barbaric they are!" without actually looking in the mirror and seeing their own double standards, they are entirely without reflection, and so put that more and more into their stories and then act like it's the consumer's fault when they don't like this kind of extreme heavy-handedness.
Then you ask someone like Captain Crimson "the left's self-reflection" and he'll tell you that they're hypocritical, never reflect on whether they meet their own ideology, will accept anyone who is "on their side" without the slightest care of their true nature, and band together in a monolithic group to fight the "filthy GOP". Then you point at someone like Captain Crimson and laugh at them, and they get angry that you're not taking them seriously even though they're a fucking clown.
Come on man, "if there's two Democrats in the room you've got three opinions on any subject", infinite navel gazing, intersectionality, relative morality, these are all things that the GOP uses to demonize everyone more liberal than Ann Coulter. Are you able to clear the clown from your brain and see that these are obvious fucking contradictions? That you can't get a monolithic block with no self-reflection that doesn't engage in navel gazing? That you can't have something that's simultaneously completely disorganized and an organized conspiracy?
The truth of the GOP when it comes to entertainment is that everything is political, what they want is to have their politics get a pass. They want to say Black Panther is political and then pretend Iron Man isn't.
The sad, sorry truth of this modern GOP is that they have an absolute mental breakdown when they're not treated like special snowflakes. When they are treated as just one viewpoint among many, when they're not given special treatment, when they're simply ordinary. Honestly the Incredibles villain might as well be their greatest fear - everyone is equally special, therefore no one is special. And then they have to earn their place in competition with everyone else. And given how utterly bloodthirsty they like their "competition", well, at least they seem to understand that it would be brutal to be a part of it. For fucks sake, they beat a cop to death. During the entire BLM "riots", zero cops were beaten to death anywhere in America. Zero. Black people actually protected cops who had gotten isolated. And this fucking GOP thinks they're oppressed because people put up fucking barricades to keep them out of government buildings.
