Admittedly, I don't know what the methodology is for their estimation of how many people are getting catching the COVID 19 virus.

Remember; the best thing you can do right now is wash your hands regularly, try to limit exposure of your face from your hands.

A virus? Spreading in the United States, a country where food service workers don't have paid sick days? Who could have imagined such a thing? 9_9
Good news is it's a chance for lots of people to show how racist they are by avoiding Chinese restaurants and talking about eating dogs.

Not wanting dogs eaten is racist? Let me think about that...
Though I think CmdrKing would say that it would be OK if it was, as long as "the odds it either helps or hinders the state of the world are infinitesimal."

I'd like to point out, that there is at least one documented case of a pet-dog being infected with Covid-19. A pomeranian to be exact.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 10:06 pm A virus? I think CmdrKing would understand that there's room for ridiculing a practice without generalizing it upon someone within a collective. I mean I'm not sure of course, but anyhoo. There's also understanding the sentimentality that westerners attribute to their pets as if family.Darth Wedgius wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 12:04 amThough I think CmdrKing would say that it would be OK if it was, as long as "the odds it either helps or hinders the state of the world are infinitesimal."
That being said, a lot of people critical of the practice are left with the dilemma of justifying eating other animals in lieu of more socialized ones.

I am not a vegan or a veggie, but nevertheless I have always agreed with the hypocrisy of the argument that dogs are somehow off limits when it comes to being eaten.
A pig fyi isn't that far off a dog in intelligence, but it is far off a dog in terms of having a cute little huggable face i guess.

I can't disagree. I'm vegetarian, but I admit that I'm emotionally biased toward dogs. Still, I can't see how not eating dogs is bad news.
