and one reason I focus on the white people is because as a white guy myself, I can't properly talk about non white issues. and I know white people have less of this problem but it shouldn't be happening at all and I'm worried that dismissing it as not that big a deal could maybe let it become a big deal later.

IMO, you can talk perfectly well about non-white issues. Facts don't care about your skin color. As far as the issues that don't make it into databases, sure, you'll have to check your assumptions and keep an open mind. I think that's probably good advice in any circumstances.

It's not really a battle of principle though. It's like I was saying to you before, where it's an issue that's specifically trying to be addressed and not a value judgement upon people.

We're not talking about the pursuit of enlightened knowledge and how to weigh everything. I mean Fuzzy is but, the heart of the agenda is bringing more consideration to systemic social issues.

And are those people leaders in the field with letters after their name and lots of followers? Do they have recognized positions in nonprofits and boards? Or are they some fifteen-year old who learned everything they know about the subject by reblogging from other fifteen year olds? You didn't answer my question.
