Yeah, you mean Christian activists, which is as an oxymoron as I've ever heard.

...how? I mean what the Hecate is oxymoronic about a Christian who is an activist? Why?

Because it's supposed to be about humility, not getting up front to take credit and push agenda on people. I've seen people from all walks of the political spectrum do this, but Christians should be about the quiet, humble local community-raising, which I have seen them do. The loud ones just want attention.

Yukaphile wrote: Sun Sep 05, 2021 1:39 pm Or, you all are only seeing the loudest, small minority of Christians who scream and rant and rave and push misguided activism. I've met many Christians recently that are actually very decent people. Those who do not bomb clinics or kill doctors. They don't have to scream about it. Just food for thought there.
The easiest way to tell decent Christians is they don't whine too loudly when people point out that the boot on the neck of our country has a Christian foot inside of it.

As if one of the obsessions of the Obama administration, which Biden is apparently taking up, was to make The Little Sisters of the Poor to bend the knee to progressive dogma.
That sure is a series of words intended to convey a meaning of some sort.
That says a lot about your lack of knowledge.

What's funny is that if you take the religion out of it, Jesus is the story of a poor carpenter who tried his best to help others but ultimately was hunted, persecuted and eventually executed by a government that didn't like what he was doing.

Its kind of funny that rich capitalists who call themselves Christians do not see the irony.

Megachurches are to Christians are brothels are to chastity, are they not?

Actually? Not seeing the comparison. The megachurches are made by those claiming to be Christians. Yes they may be in the end the opposite of the teachings they are supposed to follow. But are for and by their religion.
Brothels are not however generally made for the chaste or by the chaste. They are opposite views and I see not rationale for the chaste to do such a thing.

To go with the Christ allegory. That he was a humble working man from the salt of the Earth who loved and forgave. The loud, rich Christians are not in line with him. Nor are the warmonger Christians, which they've had for several centuries by this point.

No. Supposed Christians go to megachurches to be seen and acknowledged as such. Supposed chaste people go to brothels to avoid being being seen or acknowledged.

You cannot lump "paid sex" in with "chaste." That was the POINT.
