No, because I've already written off Disney over the #DisneyMustPay issue. But I hadn't rejected Disney products before that, largely because they *were* inconsistent. The occasional ridiculous elements were just that - occasional.

Exactly. They are totally mercenary. If they thought they would gain more from calling for the extermination of any or all minority groups, they'd do that. Their sole guiding principle is getting money.

Honestly, if the megacorp bean counters say that acknowledging minorities and catering to their wants and needs is the right move, then that's a win. Yes, they're motivated by greed, but at least it's ONLY greed.

The people who have a problem with the very basic level of acknowledgement Disney puts out are mostly either in their own little media bubble and not consuming Disney products anyway or watching every single entry of Star Wars / MCU / whatever religiously to complain about how "woke" it is every time somebody who isn't a straight white cis man appears or is mentioned on screen. There's nothing to gain by trying to accommodate them when it would alienate everybody else.
