Honestly, I don't get why people want to just let dumbass kids think they have the right to egg people without impunity. I mean yeah, he shouldn't stab the kid beat him bloody, but a punch or two in the face isn't that big a deal.

If there's a jury up for convicting the senator, then there must be one up for convicting the teenager. The judicial system can be safely considered broken, if not.

If the senator wants to convict the kid, he'd have to press charges himself, and taking formal legislative action against somebody who's voice still cracks because they gave you a non-consensual chicken-embryo scalp massage might not send the right message to your voting base.

The 17 year old teen wasn't skinny, he was of average frame and average height, larger and wider than some of the police officers who escorted him out even, and the senator did not use his fists to hit, but slapped him in his face twice. The little shit even began fighting back, when these two were taken apart by bystanders or local security.

Alright. I rewatched the video and it does look more like slaps than fists. I guess I was mistaken on my first viewing, and the scramble after the immediate two strikes is somewhat confusing. Because he ended up on the ground I assumed that he had been hit with fist-level force.

I do not, however, retract the "skinny" comment. Maybe people eat and work out less where you live, but he looks pretty weedy to me.
