I do honestly worry his bottomless stupidity will remove us from being a super power.
I am also worried about his picks as well. Alot of them seem like they want to set the country back decades. I am just hoping that there will be enough Republicans out there that will recognize when something is wrong or just plain dumb that they will throw in their vote with the Democrats.
I am also hoping come 2026, that voters will wake up and actually fucking vote this time around.

I just hope that the damage is enough that it will be a wakeup call.
I am hoping it when the wakeup call happens it's before it doesnt do true and irreparable damage to the economy or the country. I mean, I don't like the idea of having to pay double for everything just so a certain part of the country gains a clue.

Well I mean, honestly, do you think a country full of people who think it's a good idea to elect people like Donald Trump really should be a super power? Our time has come and gone.

They didn't come out of a void. They were always here. It's just they never had someone like Trump to vote for to bring out their worse.

As I said a few pages ago, black segregation is still within living memory, the last Union and Confederate soldiers died within living memory, the Klan hanging black people from trees is still within living memory, the Blackshirts in Britain and even the Empire itself are still within living memory.
The people who did these things still exist, they taught their kids and then social media did the rest. There was always going to be the potential for men like Donald Trump, Andrew Tate, Elon Musk gaining real power and influence - and sadly few seemed prepared for it. That in itself is a failure of leadership on both sides of the Atlantic. There should have been a big red folder somewhere marked ''Open in the Event of the 20th Century Returning.''
It's not the first time we've had a populist president in the Republican camp and we're not the only country riding a libertarian wave as a result of social media and emboldened liberalism.
The Conservatives have taken the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government. Over time, the Liberal laws of this nation will erode and turn the country into a BACKWOODS YET CORPORATE NIGHTMARE.
It's kind of telling that this was written twenty years ago and still somehow rings true.
"I know what you’re thinking now. You’re thinking 'Oh my god, that’s treating other people with respect gone mad!'" When I am writing in this font, I am writing in my moderator voice.

This is all true. There was always this hope that with each dying generation that it will eventually die. In reality, it slowly dies as all of the racism, bigotry, traditions etc gets carried over to the next one through the parents to their children. You just hope that enough gets out of this cycle to keep it dwindling. To me it seems like this sort of thing may not even die out by the time my nieces and nephew become grandparents themselves and I have been long gone.
It also doesn't help the Evangelism that really plagues the US. I am not against religion at all, but this whole segment is horrible. For example, any other president candidate with the record of Trump and they woukd be all over him. But since it's Trump, they are the biggest hypocrites.
US always had that element of religious conservatism but it has been gaining alot of steam to truly take over the US and rip it apart.
