You don't have to like the great hero the school system makes him out to be but I'd like to see leftists at least say someting along the lines of "Yeah, Washington participated in a horrible atrocity but at least he mitigated it wile doing it and eventually realized he was wrong and let his slaves go." I'm not even saying necessarily his statures should stay up.
