I guess a the best women's basketball team could beat the best man's basketball team by poisonning their food.Yukaphile wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:05 pm @Slash Gallagher Because it's TRUE. Training, tools, is nothing. Will is everything. A smart woman could outsmart a stronger man, and if she's had the proper training, with the right tools, she could beat him. It's simply a matter of how you utilize the knowledge you have at hand. Luck is as much a factor, but then, I don't see the size difference between men and women being that huge to think that most men can easily beat on women if the woman isn't going to fight back and isn't determined enough to want to resist.

That was quite misogynistic of you.

As far as a league, I don't know, but I'd think a woman's team can be quite comparable to a man's given the physical demands.

I don't think of women as handicapped inferior little creatures compared to men. That way of thinking, that stereotype needs to just fucking DIE.

I don't think it is that extreme and what happens if it stays alive?
Peak men just have a better feel for the game. With today's rules and 3 point mania a team playing a soft style would have a chance.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Fri Dec 28, 2018 11:31 am As far as a league, I don't know, but I'd think a woman's team can be quite comparable to a man's given the physical demands.

In most athletic contests, including a straight-out melee brawl, men have significant advantages over women. Pound for pound, men have about twice the upper body strength and tend to be significantly larger besides. There are subtler advantages as well; men's hearts pump more blood, and men's blood even carries more oxygen.
Several years ago, Serena Williams, then a very high-ranked female tennis player (currently probably the best) challenged the then-203rd best male tennis player to a match and he won easily, and that's a contest of skill and endurance as much as strength. But, on average, men run faster, have a longer reach, and will return the ball faster.
If there were a contest for going without food and water for several days, women would edge out the men. I'm not sure who would sponsor that, and the TV ratings would be pretty bad...

Eeyup. The WNBA uses different rules, and even a slightly smaller ball. I feel for the players who genuinely love the game, but the men will be performing a lot more of the spectacular stuff that gets the viewers.

Again you make a joke out of yourself, when desperately trying to get attention and acknowledgement. Read up on gender-dimorphism. It's a thing, a fact of reality and a result of evolution. And nobody says that women are handicapped inferior little creatures. They just evolved to excel at different feats than men. For example, they have a much higher life-expectancy, even after figuring in the stresses that pregnancy and birth bring in. Their bodies are much more enduring in situations of low caloric intake, thanks to their bodies buidling up more reserves in times of plenty and their immune systems are better at dealing with almost all diseases. Men evolved to excel at physical feats instead and they drastically outperform women in almost every sport.
