I have to wonder what will happen to all the politicians who backing on Trump support when he dies. I think it safe to say he closer to the grave than the cradle at this point, how much power will he have once he gone.
I expect more Republican politicians will openly and enthusiastically back him when he's dead than when he's alive. Because alive he's his a blundering loudmouthed dullard, in death he's a prop that can be made to say what ever you want him to say.

I do wonder about that. He seems to have an intense personal charisma that only certain people can see at the core of his appeal, and I doubt that will survive his death. I don't see it myself, but his worshippers seem to see it a lot better than they hear his actual words.

That's not charisma. He has none. Maybe he is different in person but when he talks off the cuff he really can't string a coherent sentence without repeating himself two or three times and being vague or regirtitating what he has said before many times.

He is basically a figurehead of being able to be a far far right conservative openly in politics and in public by the public.

I do think this sort of mindset will die down eventually. Especially when he dies and his lawsuits become less newsworthy like it is now. And likewise once he is dead, obviously nothing new will come from either.

Hopefully, no one is ready for Trump haunting of this Earth.
I got nothing to say here.

Trump's followers are a great example of the Sunk Cost Fallacy.

Of course, so are both political parties, but it's useless trying to convince most people of that.

Considering all the Reagan revisionism we see, this is probably accurate. Democrats will hate him even more after death for the same reason.

At least Reagan had the excuse of progressive dementia. Trump appears to be in his natural state.

I mean they're almost all fawning at his feet now.

I still suspect that his mental faculties are declining. If you look at how he was let's say 20 years ago when he isn't reading off of a prepared statement offscreen, like a live segment he speaks a whole lot more clearly than he does now.

Of course he is playing to his fans for the past six or seven years. Repeating the same exact thing over and over again for each rally he does or support he gives.

I think he just had better handlers when NBC was managing him.
