"If you get shot up by an A6M Reisen and your plane splits into pieces - does that mean it's divided by Zero?

Local slang, wasn't thinking about where I was.
A flatlander in north-central Pa is anyone who doesn't live in the mountains, from southern Pa ot Philly, or most often New Jersey. Bad driving is part of the stereotype which is why I made a crack about NJ drivers. Although what I said is completely true of my own experience.
Ridgerunner used to be the word for locals but that fell out of use before my time.

From my experience PA drivers are the worse. You have yet to live when you have to dodge incoming cars driving on the wrong side of the road... Happening too often on 95. Or see drivers make a hard right across multiple lanes to make their exit at the last second. Or doing 100 MPH on 295 while weaving in and out of traffic.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 12:36 pmLocal slang, wasn't thinking about where I was.

Or my favorite. Doing 55 in a 65 in the far left lane (fast lane) and literally holding up dozens of cars behind him.
I got nothing to say here.

Driving down through LA was an experience. 5 lanes with each one going at least 70.
..What mirror universe?
Re: Carlson out at Fox
Problem with NJ and probably other denser populated areas of different states isn't really cars but the large 18 wheelers. This was always part of the road but in the past ten years or so NJ has been building warehouses left and right which is increasing the amount of the trucks.
Problem is alot of them have governors on them that prevent them from going past a certain speed and they are so to accelebrate.
The one of the most common rubber necking issues with crossing the Delware Memorial Bridge is how slow the trucks climbing the incline.

As a NJ driver I want to be offended. I mean the only accident I have been in was when a Cali driver decided to go straight on a circle because she didn't know what a circle was and hit me. But then driving 295 and you see some jackass decide to drive down the emergency lane and rear end a police car because. Oh wow emergency vehicles use the emergency lanes! I have heard of someone other than a PA driver going the wrong way down a divided road. But that was an eighty year old that knew where his destination was but not how to get there and hid a set of spare keys from his care provider.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 12:36 pmLocal slang, wasn't thinking about where I was.

All of my accidents were me sitting at a red light and two of the three were in Virginia. The other was in NJ and she braked too hard in the rain and skidded in my car, luckily she did slow enough to basically a nice hard love tap. No damage.ilNealithi wrote: ↑Sun Jun 04, 2023 3:37 amAs a NJ driver I want to be offended. I have driven enough in the country to know you will get the usual idiots. The ones no paying attention, talking, texting, watching YouTube etc, or just aggressive speeding.

Fox sent Tucker a cease and desist for his Twitter Vlog, since he's still under an exclusivity contract until 2025.

As an aside, I often wonder: what will humans in a hundred years time think of today? And imo, the idea of letting humans lose on vehicles capable of 150 MPH powered by explosive and polluting liquid without any computer oversight will be one of those things that children will look back on and laugh at us for. It'll be so alien to them. So foreign. Its like us trying to imagine a hundred thousand coal fires burning over streets full of horse and cart traffic.
