As I said before, this whole thing stinks of Saigon.
But to show I am not completely against Biden I will say this: he was right when he said that the Afghan Government did not even bother fighting. I am going to guess that Biden was hoping the Aghans would show slightly more backbone which would buy the US time for their withdrawal. Its hard to help those that will not help themselves.
So why are you against him, and what is it exactly that you are against him about? When he withdrew? How he withdrew? That he withdrew at all?

You've been taking this 20-year failure of a war and waving it around, then saying "Mr Biden" without drawing a clear line of connection between the two.

It's clearspira, you're not going to get a substantial discussion with him.

Let me educate you about real life, young man: there are no easy answers to complex problems. This isn't an RPG where everything wraps up with a nice little bow if you complete the correct sidequests in the right order.

Or in other words, it is possible to be right and wrong simultaneously. If you have been reading what have wrote so far then you would know what my position is: the West has been embarrassed by this disaster that has happened on Joe's watch but he was hindered by the corruption and cowardice of the Afghan government. I don't see why this is difficult to understand.

I do wonder if this had happened under Trump what your reaction would be. ''Nasty racist Trump killing people whilst on his way to commit treason'' based on your previous form.

Well, you didn't really tell me what exactly you object to or wanted have handled differently, but at least you compensated by being pompous and condescending.

Getting out of Afghanistan was actually one of the things I thought Trump was right about. Of course, it's kind of a low bar to NOT start an illegal war too, so I'm not exactly giving him high praise.

Maybe someone on here that is/was in the military can answer this for me; why were we still over there
after no WMDs were found and Binladen was killed?

I was military. But I was in the Navy so all I did was ride a giant boat in the middle of the Persian Gulf doing donuts in the sea.

But to answer your question, it really does comes down to politics. The US didn't want to leave the country without some sort of semblance of we did something good. Like set up a stable democratic government.

You talk to the people who actually served in Iraq or Afghanistan and you will usually get the answer that nothing we were doing was working.
