Exactly what it says on the tin. Border patrol says people shouldn't use the word "cages" because it makes people uncomfortable, even though it is accurate.

It's the duck test and it's a cage, IMO. I guess we can call it a "cell" but that does make it sound just as worse, IMO.

Yes, people can use cage instead of cell if they want. Yes, some terms sound worse than others.
