Far Right are bad at Boycotts

Post by Fuzzy Necromancer »

First they "boycotted" Starbucks by ordering coffee with the name "merry christmas", now people are expressing rage at Nike adds with Colin Kapernick by burning the shoes they alreayd paid money for and cutting the logo off clothes they already own.

Ghostbusters worked.

Also Gallup says 60% of the public dislikes Kaep.

Ghostbusters failed not because of the alt-right but because it was a shitty movie.

True but the problem wasn't the special effects in the movie, it was that it was a comedy movie which...wasn't funny.

I find the idea of burning something you already gave them your money for to be funny. If I really felt that way, I'd sell it and try to get some of my money back. It kind of reminds me of all those morons who virtue-signaled by cutting the barrel of of their AR-15s (not a cheap rifle by any means) and only actually succeeded in creating an illegal short-barrelled rifle that could well have gotten them arrested for their trouble.

it had a redeeming feature. I loved Chris Hemsworth's work, he was funny. . Not enough to sit through it a second time. But enough to not throw my friend's Blu-ray of the movie away.

I have nothing against the cast and give them props for giving it their all but the script was terribad.

I think it also failed at being a feminist interpretation because it actually was more sexist in some ways because all of the women were complete goofballs and "The Ray." The original Ghostbusters had Sigourney Weaver not as a Ghostbuster but as a serious professional who took her danger seriously. Everything was just a bit too...silly.

The Alt-Right is dangerous but that's because they're desperate to prove themselves. It's the poseurs who you need to worry about.
