One of the "violent crimes" is running away from law enforcement. Because running from somebody who might shoot you is "violent". Please call your senators.

This bill will never pass and is so clearly unconstitutional that even a 5-4 right-wing SCOTUS will immediately throw it out on the grounds that it's nakedly totalitarian.

I really fricking hope so, because for the past two years I haven't known WHAT is realistic anymore.

Me, 47 but I am leaning toward afraid on some laws being passed. I can list a few that upset my stomach and why if you wish.

My thought as well, but this doesn't change the fact this is just as stupid because it will screw over a lot of people just to have an excuse to deport some people. Naturally the people who claim speech = violence will not see it that way.

I can't disagree with that. I was pointing out that the definition of "violence" seems flexible on much of the left, but I admit that I can't honestly think "internet violence" is silly while at the same time thinking running away from a cop is legitimate violence.

I think it kind of illustrates how both the right and left can do something pretty similar while coming at it from different angles. :)
