They could not come here. Or apply legally for entry.
I know you've been told many times that children are separated as we don't just take an accompanist adult's word for it that they are the parents and not trafficking children or kidnapping from their legal guardian. How do you propose to make a determination?

Are you saying the children could just not come here?
Are you aware that most of them are aslyum seekers, who have not actually committed a crime?
I see you bending over backwards to justify baby jail.

They crossed one or multiple borders without permission. They actually have comitted a crime.

I'm curious. How would you solve the issue of not being able to reliably tell that a child belongs to it's parents (outside of going straight for a gene-test, which would actually collide with civil rights) and where would you put the children and probable parents while you investigate the validity of their claims?

Well, I'm in favor of free movement unless a government takes the time to explain in detail why you, specifically, are persona non grate in their country (subject of course to potential popular referendum on the matter if challenged), or you have a restraining order against you (and I don't consider crossing a border to be that, so...).
What I'd do is keep the families together under covert CPS observation in apartment blocks and give them entry-level jobs in local markets and manufacturing to kick-start the economy. Could really help the malaise in this country.

An illegal immigrant is a criminal therefore they have committed a crime. If that is the best argument you've got then this will be quick.

Please stop displaying your absolute ignorance of how an economy works.

1. Yes. The children do not need to come into the country illegally. They could come legally.
2. They have committed a crime by entering the country illegally. They can apply for asylum from their home country. Entering the country illegally is not fair on those who do emigrate legally or apply for asylum and should not be rewarded with a pass.
3. I see you make no effort to address the child trafficking that very much happens with illegal crossings of the border. I see you not caring about what happens to the children, just that you don't like what the current administration does when it carries on with a policy from the previous administration.

The child trafficking is a big concern given some have actually used the government separation as a chance to acquire them.
The government "losing" children being a big thing.

It isn't the child's fault that they're brought across the border. Therefore, they haven't committed a crime.
And also, technically speaking being an undocumented immigrant isn't even a damn crime.
