Okay so this species is important to agriculture. So why would there be a delay on either side of the aisle to protect it and thus protect our own production?

Keep in mind there are dozens of species of carpenter and bumble bees in the US, not to mention the other native bees.

HOWEVER.

All of those species are experiencing declines, too. Not to this extent, yet, but habitat degradation, pollution, and general lack of care for the environment are taking their toll.

I dunno, why is there a delay on actions to protect humanity as a whole from wildfires, rising sea levels, polar vortexes, and killer hurricanes?

Well to be honest I was more hoping someone with right of the fence leanings might answer this one. I mean I am all for conservation. Reuse materials and spaces before consuming new ones etc. I like the saving of the grey wolf. But I also see the counter arguements that they are dangerous to our domestic animals and children. It is a valid concern. So why dissent on something not harmful and actually necessary to maintain our economic base?
