Stage9 Bridge Simulator shuts down

CBS axed another fan work this month, this time a fan-made model of the Enterprise-D called StageINine.

Especially as left unfinished, it can hardly be called a "game" in the fullest sense, but it was entertaining to look at. The source code may be lost for good, but with the project site going offline, fans have scrambled quickly to keep the alpha releases online.

It was entirely non-profit, and the creators tried to come to an accommodation, but all for naught. I've heard that CBS might have been worried about competition with some upcoming "virtual museum." Pretty disheartening, though.

I never get why they wouldn't have just hired the team on to just go ahead and make their virtual museum or what have you... Asshole lawyers...

CBS is just mad that fans can create a significantly better product than they can.
It happened to the fan film
It happened to the fan show
