We all know the GOP only cares about making the uber wealthy even richer, and squeezing every last penny they can from the super poor. What's new?

I'm bringing up these things so people don't normalize the sins of the party and roll their eyes and maybe cut back a little "Well BOTH parties do BAD THINGS so What's the Difference" centrist gremplork.

I find that attitude comes from far-left progressives more than centrists. They have this view of "don't negotiate, my way or the highway." Compromise is a sin and a dirty word to them. Like the very far right they claim to hate. Look up the horseshoe theory to get an idea what I mean. They were ripping banners out of frightened children's hands, wasting money by throwing it at limos, and causing chaos at caucus conventions. It's ugly as hell and very much resembles the worst excesses found on the hard right.

You've obviously never had to deal with a Libertarian at a dinner party or anyone who thinks South Park is clever.

I know right-wing libertarians. Trust me, they can be just as bad.
