Nevada Voters choose Dead Pimp

So like, I know there's a whole thread for midterm election results, but I felt this kinda needed its own space to discuss.

New York Times is trash. I don't trust it.

Jeeze, the NYT writes shitty opinion pieces about neo-nazis shopping for groceries just like us, but I've lost track of what reasonably hard mainstream publications I'm not supposed to even link because somebody will shout FAKE NEWS.

Someone found a way to avoid electing a politician, and elected a statesman. :)

Unsupported allegations make baby Carl Sagan cry. What precisely is wrong with the third-most popular English language news source? Please elaborate how they could mess up a wire report.

Well, their movie reviews are trash. They think rape victims brought the attack on themselves and that an average guy needs to reclaim his masculinity through a life-and-death contest. That sorta thing.

You were given two questions about their news reporting.

Okay, maybe their news reporting is okay, but their political opinions... I don't trust, when they have that kind of "a man needs to be super masculine" and "a rape victim brought it on herself" view.

You are arguing with someone who thinks that the entire Russian ethnicity is inherently evil because of Soviet war crimes in WW2.

Questionable positions of David Brooks's op-eds aside, the NYT is still the best newspaper in the US for pure news. They're also generally unbiased in their reporting.

On the OP's topic, I think this is hilarious and an argument in support of democracy. Only in the FREEDOMest country in the world do you get news stories that make you feel drunk just by reading them.

Hey, don't put words in my mouth. Two million. Not a hundred million.

And I have seen their movie reviewers do that. Claim a rape victim was not innocent, brought it on herself, or that a life and death struggle is about a man attempting to regain his masculinity. News reporting might be fine, but their movie reviews to me suggest their biases get in the way.
