I don't wanna say anything because it's on the up and up, but...is this weird? Like, this presidency seems kinda weird to me. Is this a normal headline? It seems weird.

What astounds me is that it even fails at being a nice dressed down meal. I mean McDonalds on fine silverware is what a cartoon rich person things is a fancy meal for the lower classes.

A lot of people are making fun of it, which honestly just smacks of looking down their nose, and will probably end up making Trump look the better for it. He bought them food he enjoys using money out of his own pocket while the White House dining staff is shut down due to the government shutdown. It's true that he probably could have had a catering company serve much better food, but this is a guy who says he likes to eat his steak burned with ketchup, after all. That could also have served to make himself look better, but all the rich and bourgeois Democrats and other lefties making a big deal out of the type of food he did end up getting is only going to serve to keep the working class at a distance from them. After all, plenty of working class Americans actually like that kind of food.

One, he doesn't get credit for paying out of his own pocket due to the shutdown when his dumb ass caused the shutdown. Two, he owns a hotel with a five star restaurant in Washington DC. Three, making a spread solely to your own tastes is being a bad host. Four, the average democrat is poorer than the average republican. Five, of course people like burgers, and there is a goddamn Five Guys within walking distance of the White House which is the same kind of food, but better and it would have only cost Trump a few more bucks.

Quite frankly thinking anyone would want cold McDonalds on a special occasion makes you seem very, very out of touch. I've been working class, McDonalds is what you get when you don't have the money for something better. When you have money and you want a burger, you go to a regional chain (whataburger, In n' out, Five Guys, etc).
