In seriousness there’s worse but relitigating 2016 was happening enough on its own.

And Sanders has a proven track record of refusing to rein in the worst of the chaos going on around him that he's the spiral center of. At best, he'll offer a token effort to try and stop it. At worst, he'll exacerbate the conflict. I predict a Trump 2020 victory with him in the running. Just you watch.

Quite frankly he and Warren are too fucking old to be running for president. Let Generation X finally have their president.

Didn't he actually do quite well in 2016 and in fact only lost the nomination because Hillary? Either way, this guy won't beat Trump because in order to beat Trump you need to defeat his cult of personality not his policies. Teflon Trump will not be downed by just anyone and that is something that no one who ran against him last time seemed to understand. Every attack, every hit piece, every scandal, everyone who treated him as nothing more than guy off the Apprentice was the equivalent of Popeye's spinach to him.

He was never a serious contender, he was never scrutinized that seriously, had serious skeletons in his closet (unlike Clinton's, which were raked all over the coals), and then his appeal is narrow, primarily to a handful of young and old white men and a few women. He also has nothing new to say, he's repeated his campaign slogan for forty years without success, and was subject to help from the GOP and Russians. A friend of mine on Facebook had did some calculations on this and showed even if every state was an open caucus, the odds still didn't favor him. He was never going to win.

Bernie was a social media candidate. He had a laughable amount of screen coverage because of Trump's limelight of a campaign and the DNC-Schultz grooming of Clinton. I only remember seeing him on NBC like twice in somewhat obscure time slots for out of every 10-15 times Hillary or Trump got coverage.

To Bernie's credit, he rallies hard with the best of them, and has considerable reception rather left or right-wing.

In some ways I feel like Sanders is Socialist-Trump. He doesn't really have broad appeal but has a super loyal fanbase, and if he managed to win the nomination the left would rally around him only out of hatred of the alternative. Though he is far better spoken and has infinitely more experience. The question, which I hope we don't get an answer to, is whether he could pull enough of the left-center independents to choose him over a third party or staying home. Hillary couldn't.

I don't think he has much traction for the nomination. He is an older white male, and socialism doesn't win many votes when the economy is good. Harris can offer a softer version of socialism while being a young black female, I can't imagine anybody except diehard supporters picking him over her if their aim is leftist policy. And Biden would basically eliminate him from contention, I would think.

I took a straw poll on Daily KOS, of the favorite candidate running, and wouldn't you know, Sanders is the top in the lead. The Bernie Bro phenomenon is still alive and well, and they're rigging online polls just like they did in 2016. I hope they don't cause any disruption this time, but they are spoiled brats, and you just know they are going to. Of course, if they were truly dedicated to their cause like they claim, they'd support Warren, given she has the brains, experience, and accomplishments Sanders does not and actually knows what she's talking about when it comes to these ideas, yet they can't bring themselves to sully their precious purity by voting for a mere girl. Like, with, all those yucky girl parts, and I can't get them to go out with me, those greedy bitches who think they should be in control of their own bodies, and I'm totally a grown-up! Mocking aside, I can't stand the misogyny from these wannabe brogressives. They claim they don't mind a female President, it's only THIS specific candidate they have a problem with, but when there's candidates like Warren and even, ugh, Gabbard running, it becomes a lot harder to buy that if they're only siding with the white man simply because he has a dick. Those would be the Feminist-hating reactionaries that wanna "stick it" to SJWs. The same mindset as Trump voters, now I come to think of it. Sanders is the worst of all because he's a relic from an era past that deserved to die when it comes to women's rights. I wonder how these allegations of sexual harassment will feature into his campaign? Especially since I've seen claims they're going to hold him to a higher standard and refuse to give him a free pass like 2016, actually scrutinize his past, but I doubt they will. After 2016, my faith in the media is just shattered past repair. And the DNC for letting this non-Democrat who hates Democrats and tanked our chances during the most crucial election ever and won't acknowledge that run on our ticket. Seriously, what the HELL are people thinking?!
