Democrats Want to Make Border Crisis Worse

Q. Illegal border crossings are skyrocketing. What do Democrats propose to do about it?
A. Pass an amnesty to give citizenship to previous waves of illegal aliens, telling the current ones "come on in so you can get on the next amnesty!"

The problem is, there is a crisis on the southern border. Monthly crossings have reached an 11-12 year high. Democrats refuse to acknowledge this, and keep making claims that crossings are at a low point (claims which mostly rely on data from 2017, when they were low, and ignore the current situation).
Don't want a wall? Fine, but you need to propose something to deal with the crisis, not simply propose ways to make it worse.
And that is the problem. The Democrats claim not to be for open borders, but they offer us nothing in terms of actually stopping illegal border crossings, and keep finding ways to reward people who are here illegally.

If you wanted better terms maybe you should have agreed to the bipartisan deal after a narrow presidential loss rather than making demands after a massive midterm loss under a president that has consistently used racist rhetoric and actively scuttled bipartisan deals.
Y'all had two years to do something about it, but decided that welfare for the rich was more important.

If you treat the border security of your own country as a bargaining chip, you are not a loyal American.
The Democrats really ought to put country over party, and Americans over illegal aliens.

The current Republican president is under investigation for conspiring with a foreign power to undermine American democracy, and the sitting Senate Majority leader ensured that the American public would not be privy to that fact prior to the election. Take the beam out of your eye before you complain about the more in mine.

What border crisis? Who cares if millions of people want to come to America? I say, let 'em in! Put 'em to work, give 'em jobs making something or farming something, they'll spend their salaries in America and boost our GDP. Everybody wins, except those foreign countries who experience a population drain but fuck 'em, 'MURICA!!!!!

Why do people want to come to the US so badly that they'll risk their lives to do so? Is there something magical about American dirt that makes things more successful here?

Jeez, G-Man, you're acting like me - spamming threads out of an emotional tantrum. At least, that's the feeling I get on how others view my spam threads. Anyhoo, it really does boil down to what Draco Dracul said in the last thread. Democrats see this as a humanitarian crisis, being people who care, even if they can be dumb political idiots like anyone else "playing the game." Republicans see this as a security crisis, given they love professing to be the "law and order" people, and that's always where Fascism first takes root - in the right side, not the left. I mean, after all, Nazi Germany was quite ordered in its deportation and genocide...

We have all the best arable land in the hemisphere, we've got a strong economy, our government is stagnant but functional, our organized crime is a nuisance rather than a mortal threat, and we have a functional social safety net.
You come to America, you can at least survive above the poverty line, even if you're hated and exploited. In Central America, you can't even get that as a poor or especially mostly-indigenous person (the colonial-era caste system is dying a slow, miserable death).
