Everyone has the right to say what they want. They just better realize they're not immune to the consequences of that.

From the article:
Kwan isn't the first city judge to be reprimanded for political opinions. A municipal judge in Akron, Ohio, came under fire in 2016 after she attended a rally for Trump and stood behind him while holding one of his campaign signs.
I do support judges' rights to air political opinions on social media, though they should probably keep mum on cases they are presiding over. I think it should be kept out of the courtrooms, but six months seems extreme.

Yeh, as long as it isn't swaying their... judgment, then whatever. If they start to full-on profile, then kick 'em.

Ah yes, another case when people are punished from being critical towards Trump. This time it just happens to be judge. I do wonder if this would had happened if he he been praising Trump instead of critical towards Trump. This is actually something that free speech is supposed to protect people from so that those in power won't be unopposed instead of opposing voices being silenced because those in power don't like it.

So one does down for being pro-POTUS and the other does down for being Anit-POTUS? Either they were suspended for having a public opinion on the POTUS... or these suspensions were administered by two different people with differing alignments.
Neither of these scenarios are good.

And one of them is getting significantly more media attention.
Hmmm...

IIRC some random citizen was pulled in by the cops for questioning Bush shortly after 9/11. Why does that only happen during Republican administrations, eh?

I don't want either in trouble for having personal political opinions, but FWiW if that's going to happen then I'd rather it be independent of political bias.
