Sorry but do I need to crack out a gif of the Comedian from Watchmen? No wonder the world is dying.

Yeah,
Democrats did this in Texas back in 2003. It's rare, but hardly unheard of, and with 50 state legislatures it pops up every decade or so.
The good news (for you) is that whenever a political party does this, it's because they know they've already lost and they're just throwing a temper tantrum. It never actually succeeds in blocking anything, it just delays it for a bit and gives their base something to rally behind.

I'm fairly certain you've tried this one on me before, and I pointed to you then as well as now that falling ten rungs down a ladder you are at the top of is very easy indeed. Meanwhile the rest of us are looking up and wondering when your wheezing ass is finally going to make it down as far as us.

That's a terrible analogy
as for the UK
Your reductions in CO2 are from replacing coal with NatGas just like us. Plus, if you notice the use of NatGas is climbing at a rate faster than coal is dropping. You can thank wind power for that. Laugh while you can. Your electricity prices will go up.
