He suggests eating people who have already died, not killing people to eat them, so no murder is involved. But he thinks the "conservative" taboo against cannibalism could be broken down gradually.
Composting of humans is now allowed in the state of Washington, by the way.
Medical issues can arise from eating people, though I only know of kuru. I think cooking didn't prevent it (it's a prion disease, not a bacteria or virus). Kuru may have been eradicated.
Happy Monday!

Talk about thinking extreme solution. Too much so if you ask me. There is reason why cannibalism is considered taboo not just by conservatives but also by most of humanity so it has nothing to do with political views like that one guy seems to think. Look we all know that climate change is real thing and serious issue effecting this planet but cannibalism won't be solution to it.

I mean, even my Peruvian friend said he'd be willing to put that aside if the world went to hell. Eat other people. Not kill them, unless they tried something first.

Well, the taboo is "conservative" in the sense of it keeps the status quo. It's not "conservative" in the equal before the law, egalitarian, more liberty, sense. And certainly not in the smaller government sense; it might even require expansion of the FDA.
I'm tempted to want this to happen, if only to hear what jingles the ad companies come up with.

Sounds like a vegan is trolling tbh.
And anyway, its not this taboo we need to remove if you want to help prevent climate change, its eating bugs. They take almost a fraction of the space, are full of protein, easy to transport and I am told do not taste bad if prepared well.

Wouldn't sinking bodies to the bottom of the ocean be more effective for carbon sequestration while also not risking prion diseases?
