A lot of something reactive was at that port building. Reminds me I live near a oil tank yard and I should put a disaster kit in the garage.

Fireworks or fertilizer, seems likely. I'd have actually put money on fertilizer, every decade or so some fertilizer factory chooses to redecorate the surrounding countryside in kaboom.

I have heard this too. I also heard it was ammunition depot too.

Trump says alot of stuff. I usually wait until experts say something.

Could be, but I wouldn't think an ammo dump in the middle of a crowded city is very smart. I mean who knows, dumber shit has happened, but you move so many tons of fertilizer constantly, and everyone forgets. They're like "there's no way that a bunch of stuff that's basically cow shit we dump on fields is dangerous, it can't hurt us" and fertilizer is like "haha, ammonium nitrate go boom."

No fertilizer. It's... It was actually explosive materials confiscated a while ago. They couldn't figure out, what to do with it and it was left there for the time being. The problem "solved" itself now, due to inadequate storing and handling.

My guess was Acme or Ace Chemicals.

That exploding was freakin huge.

You can often tell by the smoke. White smoke generally means something not intended to be explosive has suddenly become explosive - stored chemicals for example. Black generally means an actual explosive has gone off.
