My partner is a teacher. My ex is a teacher. My cousin once removed is a teacher.
Anyone could have predicted this. Everyone predicted this.

Yes, anyone could have predicted that teachers would get coronavirus outside of the classroom and that people would blame classes starting for it.
Four deaths are mentioned in the article. In three cases, catching it from the classroom appears to have been ruled out, and in the other case (Tom Slade) there is no evidence he caught it in the classroom, and an obvious alternate explanation as to where he caught it.
From the linked article:

"[Nacoma James] died Aug. 6 during the first week of classes, but was self-quarantining when teachers and students returned to the classroom"
"[Tom Slade] began quarantining after he had contact with someone who was positive at a church meeting. His last day of teaching was Aug. 21."
"The district said [Demetria "Demi"] Bannister was at Windsor Elementary School on Aug. 28 for a teacher work day, before classes resumed."
"[AshLee DeMarinis] was already hospitalized by [Aug 24, when in-person classes began]" and "contact tracing determined she had no close contact with any teachers, students or staff."

What about the 604 cases among teachers and Students in Mississippi alone, where the school year has already started?
