What is going on, my boarders, well, yeah, figured I'd post a pretty hefty news update. Mr. Cuomo has now been accused by four women, count 'em, four women of inappropriate touching, and this has me shaking my head, considering what did the DNC do last year? Swept the allegations under the rug and refused to investigate Mr. Biden. "We have to unite! Blue no matter who! #Biden2024!" I'd predicted it then, they wouldn't let it go despite being totally discredited. Ah, but they had bigger fish to fry back then, now that Mr. Trump is gone and his 2024 chances are about as good as the average tabloids.
And who knows. These accusations could be legitimate, in all honesty. I do severely dislike that we live in a world where victims' voices are silenced out of pain, shame, and the jeering from others, and personally I've read more than a few allegations I do believe in and others I don't. I have that freedom since I'm not actually a juror. And I do sympathize to an emotional sentiment that this is an insidious, disgusting, and pervasive unseen menace lurking in the fringe underbelly of our society. I get that. I don't like living in a world like that either.
But I'm just not very confidence in the unreliable nature of "he said/she said" arguments, and frankly, I'm worn out at this point. Allegations like this are the ultimate "he said/she said" narrative, which is what fuels red pushback. I have no doubt now even something as simple such as the coming together against a gross injustice like this has been politicized by left and right, and it's becoming increasingly more difficult to tell who is right and who isn't. Especially since human nature doesn't conform to a nice chicken ball of uniform density. I've read wartime cases where women embraced their attackers and were then married to them merely for comfort and a better living standard. It's all effed up, but that is our world. Always has been.
I can't say whether Mr. Cuomo is guilty or not, but I hope the investigation goes well, and is as impartial as possible. I agree what he says, that merely stepping down on the basis of allegations is extremely anti-democratic, though I've often argued that the non-democratic process is a good thing in certain instances. Not going to get into that again. What I'm most curious about is whether the case against Mr. Biden is gonna be reopened. Probably not. This is just the elites using these allegations to remove whatever convenient targets they dislike, and elevate and protect those who have their favor, same as always. Makes me feel these women, even if they're telling the truth, are playing right into their hands, because now they can remove whoever they like, and keep their allies around. They don't care about us, they're just using us.
But I'm interested to know what you guys think? Undoubtedly a few are going to believe this without any evidence. Lord knows I'd love justice for women too, but there's also so much rampant injustice, it's hard to prioritize. How about the skeptics? What arguments would you make about this? Is the left too quick to believe? What would you do in their place? What alternatives would you suggest to simply ignoring this, which clearly isn't an option. Smash out a reply down below, and I'll talk to you later.
