When this first started, it was obviously bullshit designed to have her hated father steal her money.

13 years later? IT STILL IS.

This is probably the first time people talk about her this month in years.

As a wise woman famously said back in the day, "leave Britney alone!"

Well that doesn't surprise me given what he's been doing seems like a strong argument for why we should remove conservatorships altogether.

Actually I think that was a dude. If I remember he was putting up an act or something.
I got nothing to say here.

Some people genuinely are mentally disturbed enough that they cannot look after themselves properly. And frankly, if I was judging whether Little Miss Shave Her Head was sane back in the day I would have reached the same decision.

I would claim I was acting too if fifteen years later people were still bring it up. Chap is probably an accountant with a wife and kids by now.

A dementia patient is not going to be able to manage their finances and I've known plenty of asshole children who proceed to drain their families' inheritance then stuff them in homes.

However, of course, Brittney is not demented and is a prisoner of her father and his henchmen.

So it's just a kind of Kafka-esque nightmare where she's owned like property as an adult.

I realise that the man has already been tried, convicted and executed by Twitter court - which as we all know is the most impartial court there is - but I think we can trust that the US court system is a bit better informed as to what is actually happening. They are not in the habit of inflicting indentured servitude upon people without good reason.
Or in other words, I trust the people who are making the decisions that they have the training and information required to make an informed one.
