A social media site is only as successful as the amount of people that join and look at the ads. Putting aside the fact that its Trump for a second, the left wing bias of Twitter and Facebook have left a gap for a right-wing platform developed by someone with millions of dollars to come along and clean up. In Britain we have a TV news channel called GBNews that launched this year and is doing great due to the hatred of Sky and the BBC's left wing bias. Nigel Ferage has a show and his time slot is one of the most watched shows PERIOD. As in, irrespective of genre.
I think that this has the potential to be highly successful. And that the Left will run a cancel campaign against its advertisers immediately. I know this because the Left tried that against GBNews too.

How are you supposed to respond to that? Seriously that series of words is incoherent outside of a very specific bubble.

He's saying that there's a vacuum for a conservative social media network (read: a Trump/Carlson/QAnon echo chamber) to counteract all the liberal (read: only partially a Trump/Carlson/QAnon echo chamber) ones. And... Well, One America News, National Rifle Association TV, and FOX News have to be keeping the lights on somehow... It's usually charity backing from a major right-wing figure with billions to burn/launder, but still...

Success is rated in money.
Money is due to views on ads.
There is a left wing bias in our media.
This has left a right wing hole that can be filled.
This means the potential for many eyes on many ads.
I think Trump can be very successful here.

Interesting. I am beginning to wonder on Facebook. Because the consensus around here is that it has a right wing bias.

Again, distancing myself from Trump as person, the fact remains that he has a lifetime ban from Twitter and a years ban from Facebook. Meanwhile it refuses to ban people who are literally affiliated with terrorists, rapists and pedos.
The idea that Facebook is right wing is a claim only someone on the far left could make.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. You might not agree with it but that doesn't make it incoherent.
Although most of the mainstream platforms have a shocking lack of tolerance for people who aren't completely aligned with them, with a large dose of "we're so obviously right and pure anyone who disagrees with us is thus clearly vermin we don't need to behave civilly to" what I expect we'll get from Trump is the same but from his less well supported perspective; it's just another reflection of the pathetically over-simplified polarised outlook everyone seems to have descended in to.

Interesting. I had not heard about a lifetime ban from Twitter. And the news we had on Facebook had them remove fact checkers because they were obscuring posts from the right/Trump.
Do pardon my curiosity. But I have been running a theory that media is being more targeted online. An article on my computer will say something different on my mother's and so forth. So while they get infuriating commentary or frivolous imagery. I get less infuriating input and cat pictures. But a sample size of two does not make for a compelling . . . . lost the word. Sorry years ago my father could remember a conversation years in the past and resume where we left off. Now a word will blank out on us mid speaking. Or this case writing.
