Woohoo! Now it just needs to get the signature from Biden.
I for one am relieved to see improvements in the one functional thing this horrific dystopia can deliver. Nice to get the "you must fund pensions decades in advance" requirement dropped and get some increased transparency.

Beautiful. I'm genuinely, pleasantly, surprised at this. Now, lets work towards nationwide mail-in voting and implementing some form of Postal Banking.

It might have been useful to use Post Offices to host network backbones and provide free 'Net services, like, twenty years ago.

Well, best time to plant a tree and all that.
...for space is wide, and good friends are too few.

My family has a business that does involve international shipping. Even if FedEx may be the better option for the big stuff nationally, they suck internationally prices wise.
Whereas, the Post Office is cheaper on low weight packages like 2lbs and below but are pricier on the big ones nationally.
But shipping internationally the Post Office is the way to go.
To put it in prespective, the amount of money my Dad spends on the Post Office they joke about renaming that braclnch after my Dad. Just a joke of course.
Fuck UPS.

Interesting view. What roughly do you consider a large package?McAvoy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 5:29 am My family has a business that does involve international shipping. Even if FedEx may be the better option for the big stuff nationally, they suck internationally prices wise.

My old job we rarely shipped small packages internationally if it could be helped. And our FedEx deal was half the price, and often faster, than UPS. And was not held in customs like DHL.
And agreed on UPS.

The best time to plant a tree is when that plot of land isn't due to be bulldozed.

Guitar boxes. 45x6x18 for electric guitars. 50x8x20 for large acoustic guitars with their case. Weight varies but shipping internationally varies somewhere I think $120 to $200.Nealithi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 14, 2022 11:29 amInteresting view. One time we tried to ship two saxophones and their cases in one box. The buyer wanted it through UPS but it came out to well over $600+ but Post Office was a little over $200.
Small packages shipped internationally has always been cheaper with the Post Office too. Though within the US, either one works but the Post Office usually fudges the dimensions for my Dad. So sometimes it's cheaper through the Post Office too.

Interesting. The first box shows as a 37lb box and shows $611.72 going to London UK Via FedExMcAvoy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 4:21 am Guitar boxes. 45x6x18 for electric guitars. 50x8x20 for large acoustic guitars with their case. Same Package USPS $196.70
Same Package UPS $763.91
My company was closer to the USPS rate with FedEx.
USPS did not have a shipping tool. They had charts to follow and took longer to find the country code to match price variables by weight.
What is the USPS insurance for damages if you happen to know?
I ask because we rarely used USPS as it was difficult to work with for us. Rumor being they also gave no guarantee of delivery.

Interesting. My roommate said that UPS is more truck dominant while FedEx is more plane dominant. I doubt my guess would be that accurate, but that sounds like it could explain the $100 discount with FedEx when shipping intnly.
..What mirror universe?
