He is ''critical but stable'' which unfortunately could mean anything at this point in terms of his long-term prospects. My heart goes out to anyone here who is currently suffering through that blizzard. It sounds like a nasty one.

Critical but stable is typically regarded positively for its net beneficial circumstance.

If memory serves, "critical but stable" generally means he isn't showing signs of life-threatening deterioration but still needs active care. As best as I understand it basically he's nearly certain to lose a leg from this injury because he essentially had a tractor land on it, but otherwise he's being cared for and shouldn't get worse.

That is very sad - that is his career as an action star over. Hopefully he can reinvent himself as a more serious actor who is able to work around having a prosthetic. Thank God we haven't got another Christopher Reeves on our hands.CmdrKing wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 9:36 pm If memory serves, "critical but stable" generally means he isn't showing signs of life-threatening deterioration but still needs active care. That's pretty bad but let's not jump to conclusions.

There are ways around that. Believe it or not, there are some leg prosthetics that are very good. So maybe he just can't wear shorts in movies anymore.clearspira wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:37 pmThat is very sad - that is his career as an action star over. Or they savd the leg like the NFL player Alex Smith. Look up what his leg looked like before all of the surgeries.
I got nothing to say here.

I wouldn't worry about that. If it was critical, it would be off by now already.

Perhaps the leg is already off, and we're not being told - because it's really not our business until Renner decides it is.
