I am definitely giving it a try, if I get the opportunity.

Cultured cells, I believe. Apparently 99% identical to chicken breast.

Any idea how much it's going to cost?

I've been hearing about how they're working on it forever, will be interesting to try it.
Can't even imagine what that will do to the chicken business if it's cost effective.

Out of the main three animals, chicken is the easiest and cheapest. They would have to seriously find a super efficient way of creating the no-kill chicken.hammerofglass wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:08 am I've been hearing about how they're working on it forever, will be interesting to try it.

Beef though is expensive and I can see them being close to being cost effective.
I got nothing to say here.

Hopefully the vegan crowd doesn’t double down and go pro life on us.

Funny you bring it up. I feel like beef would have the most dedicated crowd while people wouldn’t be as mad about chicken.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 4:38 amOut of the main three animals, chicken is the easiest and cheapest. I suspect those reasons are not unrelated.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:55 pmFunny you bring it up. My guess would be flavor is the main reason it's chicken. Beef and pork have very distinct tastes heavily influenced by the animals' diet, that's a lot harder to replicate than "tastes like chicken".
