Honestly pretty well matches my sentiments on the matter. Now if they can grow the necessary spine remains to be seen...

The Democrats really should just bite the bullet and give AOC a leadership role. She's pretty much singlehandedly keeping young people and progressives from writing off the party entirely at this point.

Yeah but that means, like, actually acknowledging the progressive wing of the party and doing something useful and challenging the status quo. All of which they hate. They'd rather lose as moderates than win as progressives.

The Democratic Party just wants to be the GOP, just a little less racist and sexist. Look at how desperate they were trying to attract Republicans like Dick Cheney. We'll only see change with that party if a bunch of those dinosaurs that still want to act like it's still the 1980s either be elected out of office or die off.

Yeah, hit the nail on the head. Bunch of Clinton era Democrats still traumatized by the 1980 election being a landslide for Reagan.

Pelosi and the heads of the DNC have hated AOC since she beat out their candidate in a "safe" district and called them out repeatedly on their compromising milquetoast bullshit.
