Everyone knew it was going to lead to this, but there will be no reckoning for those who told us to calm down.

Just one story of many of same exact story.

From what I can see it's the doctors not through not willing to do the procedure but not sure how they can do it with the laws in place, without themselves and the hospital getting in trouble. This sort of indecision has and will cost lives.

All because some white haired man making decisions on a woman's body on what he thinks is the correct decision. As in, you are pregnant, you are carrying that fetus to term whether you like it or not. Oh it will kill you? Well sucks to be you.

This is why I stopped being pro-life even when I was still a fundamentalist because I presumed that the people making these bans would follow the science and make health based exceptions.

They didn't and consider this a feature rather than a bug.

These bans are about punishing women and forcing them to carry their assailents babies.

Because misogyny and control of women is the goal.

I wasn't pro-life. When I was younger and dumber I was against abortion only in cases as a form of birth control because a condom wasn't used. I have changed on this stance. I am fully 100% pro choice.

Unlike most issues, I can see thd argument of the other side. The basic argument. As in abortion kills babies. We use different terms, baby, fetus and that is just to support either side's arguments. So I can see that. However, abortion should be legal for all the reasons, whether it's for the mother's health who was fully intending to have that baby, severe health issues of the baby, rape cases, and at the very basic, the freedom of women choosing what they can do with their bodies.

Yeah it always felt like there is this unstated thing where men don't like it when they are removed from the decision, so they got to instate control over women.
