Is Scotland particularly bad in this respect? If so, I wonder why. Scotland isn't normally at the top of the list of countries I'd associate with being virulently anti-LGBT.

Outwardly, Scotland's one of the most liberal parts of the world, the leader of the Scottish
Conservative party is in a committed same-sex relationship. But you can't stop someone from being a bigot or a bully if they're determined enough to be one.

This isn't from "someone" being a bigot or bully by determination. This is bigotry enabled and encouraged by the institution. The teachers are part of it.

No, trans people across the western world have higher rates of self harm and suicide than average.
