Finished reading the latest WH40k novel and suddenly a thought came out of me: normal humans can't survive on near-Earth parallel planets and Chapter-Captains are too dangerous to contain in a Dark Eldar prison ship? So why are humans the herm of hedonism towards expansionism?
If none of you heard or played 40k, I advise you to Youtube 40k battles and in-game lore, Commissionar Gazma and OSM are NOT 40k lore videos.
I still believe Vulcan can kill Dark Eldar Vect and I think Rogan Dorn will become the new 14th Black crusade leader.
But overall, can humanity really survive past it's homeworld?
Why are humans so deadly/killable?

Why are humans so deadly/killable?
Do not pity a Slave for the Slave-Lord, but hear the power of what Chaos can be.
All Beings bow before the children of he who bound their flesh by their words.
Fall and wail, all flesh, bone, soul,& power is a servant to Yun-man, the First Slave-Lord.

You gotta remember that back in the Dark Age of Technology when the human federation first spread out among the stars the galaxy was a lot less hostile. The eldar empire had either just died or were in the process of dying (my memory of the lore is a little fuzzy), the necrons were not waking up, Orks were not under any huge Beast or Ghazkul level warbosses yet, and the Tyranids didn't even start heading towards the milky way until the Horus Heresy. Also, the age of Technology humans didn't have the same A.I. restrictions so they had the men of Iron do a lot of terraforming. Humans became expansionist because they were able to get enough of a foothold while the galaxy was in relative "easy mode" to simply outnumber everyone.
