I have to agree there. There's almost no difference between, say, NFL 08 and 07, just a different lineup of players, which is part of the appeal.
It's in the game.

Honestly all I've ever played is exhibitions, but it's not just the lineup, at least as far as I've seen in Angry Joe reviews. It's basically like being a general manager in some games, playing through season while you do stuff ranging from trading players to setting ticket/concession prices.
Oh yeah don't bring up Madden. Even a big football fan like myself that does play Madden really does hate Madden.

The simple reason is this, the games as bought are buggy as hell until EA brings out the updates to fix them. Six months later you finally get the game you bought. And that is just the basic part of the game.

Then they add and remove constantly. Never keeping fan favorites.

The last Madden game I played for a long time (as in past the initial week or two before it just collects dust on my shelf) was Madden 2012. I played the franchise mode all the way to 2024 for the Giants. That game was pretty stable with no big glitches which are common nowadays. Though I did figure out how the AI makes the 'A' type players, as in the ones with potentials to have a Overall of 90+ rating.
I got nothing to say here.
