You haven't really checked who Olly Alexander is, have you? Anyways, how many regenerations does the Doctor canonically have left by now?
My list of the three biggest mistakes Dr Who ever made:

3) Torchwood.
2) Colin Baker's coat.
1) A female Doctor.

Despite the BBC clearly doubling down, the fact that he is a he is enough to get me to give it a chance again. I haven't watched a single episode of Jodie Whittaker's run out of pure spite and I never intend to. Although saying that, I would also need to be convinced that the Nameless Child is or will be retconned. Polishing a turd is not enough, I want it gone from my floor thankyouverymuch.

So, another half-baked rumor about the next doctor turns out to be lunchables-grade bologna. Color me shocked.

Oh, for me it's
3) Baker's Coat
2) Not giving McGann a full season
1) Torchwood: Miracle Day.
Otherwise, I've been content since 2007.

My money is and always has been on the BBC doubling down with a black lesbian even before I read the Olly Alexander news. I'm just reporting the rumour. Not to mention the fact that going with a man again would prove these lefties wrong - and they cannot have that. They would rather tank the show than go with what works.

My biggest opinion mistakes with BBC and Doctor who

1.Colin Baker's coat
2.Missing characters and their fates (ex heaven sent/hell-bent could have had Leela show up or at least mentioned)
3.Letting Michal Grade screw the program up
4. Colin's tv "regeneration"
5. Adding romantic relationships with the doctor and whoever.

Quite possibly the single dumbest thing in the world to be concerned about.

I have no horse in this race* but yeah that was a dumb statement.

*I am hoping that was correct phrasing.
I got nothing to say here.

Oh noes, we can't have a woman play a fictional alien on a television show! I mean, what's next? Female police officers? Politicians? Writers? Office Administrators? CEOs? It's the thin edge of the wedge.

You misogynistic pratts are fucking pathetic.
The past tempts us, the present confuses us, the future frightens us. And our lives slip away moment by moment lost in that vast, terrible in-between.

Eh I wouldn't say not wanting a character changed is inherently misogynist.

It becomes misogynist when OH MY GOD, IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD.
