I've been dealing with a couple of issues lately, my depression has been constantly sneaking up on me, someone I follow on YouTube has been revealed to be anti-trans and I'm just not in a good state of mind right now so, for the foreseeable future I will be signing off of the forums for right now. I need to gather myself and try to deal with things. Tomorrow is a dream away and something always comes up, reality is unrealistic and there are many more good things in this world then there are bad so for anyone who has enjoyed my posts here, to those who argued and challenged me thanks for the time but for right now I just need to step away from everything.
However, I am nothing if not optimistic so, for my going away post here something I hope to see, a great Mass Effect game.
Chuck is the one who got me into Mass Effect and through Mass Effect I became aware of BioWare and with all it's ups and downs it's a series that I have remained in love with since that review on this very site. The ending of Mass Effect 3 and the overall disappointment of Mass Effect: Andromeda did leave a bitter taste in my mouth but I do think that both games have their value and I am interested to see where BioWare takes the series by using both games as a foundation for the upcoming game.
It honestly would have been easier to just restart the franchise and I half expected them to do so but they seem to be going in a direction that takes a lot more guts by picking an ending from ME3 (which seems to be the destroy ending) and also seem to be planning to continue the story of MEA. And I do think that's the right move for the franchise as MEA does have it's fans and using it to continue the story by bypassing the player choices could end up working in the series favor, as odd as that may sound.
There was potential in MEA and using that potential to help the series move forward while also continuing the story of the Trilogy is a risky move and I applaud BioWare for willing to take such a big risk. Maybe it won't work out but maybe it will, either way, I look forward to see where the series goes next.
See you all later. This is Winter, signing off for now.
