I was loving episode 8 right up until they had Chief cheat on Cortana.

F that.

I mean everything else is great but Chief and this Covenant chick???? F no!!!

Yeah literally everything except the stuff involving the Covenant chick is great. Her story is rote. Her and Chief is just completely unnecessary and frustrating.

Then Chief and Cortana vs. Chief's buddies and Chief and Cortana have ALL the chemistry, so it's entirely unnecessary to give Chief a meatmode fuckbuddy.

Anyway, Kai is great, McElhone is on fire as the delusional narcissist Halsey, Silver Team remain likable, Chief and Cortana are pitch perfect together, Cortana is great in general. Action is solid.

It's decent but the sex scene and Chief cheating on Cortana were completely unnecessary and bad.
