Very nice to hear. After more than a decade of providing us with awesome Star Trek stories - it completely deserves it.
Thanks for posting the link. I refuse to force myself to watch Picard so I would've missed it.

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
I just got caught up on the Star Trek Online missions. I have to say that the Inquisitor mission with your Mirror Universe counterpart is easily the best one in the entire game. Just the sheer unbridled joy of what is a thoroughly batshit insane adventure brought a smile to my face from moment to moment even though it was a fairly standards corridor shooting adventure like so many others throughout the game.
I was iffy about the fact that you have a voice thanks to the voice box and it makes me wonder if they're eventually going to introduce voices for the protagonists in updates. I actually kind of wish they hadn't given the protagonist a voice, no matter how gruff and badass mine was, because I've gotten used to their silent white text.
Captain Killy is awesome and i love how bizarre a setting it must be that she got transported from 200 years in the past to the Mirror Universe's present and somehow made it up to Captain while recruiting Kumake.
Janeway is a sane, steady, and professional Mirror Universe warlord without being redeemable. Which goes to show you that they were always going to turn against her. In the end, I am glad my Inquisitor could because he's always going to go with Mary Wiseman versus Mulgrew. She's just such a snarky asshole.
And yes, my jaw dropped at the plot Macguffin.

The plot bullshit is BS as usual but Mirror Janeway feels like Chuck!Janeway, and Captain Killy is deliciously evil. Also, fighting myself? I love this arc, as moronic as it is.

Yes.
Then I don't mind it being stupid.

Okay so I decided to roll a new character and try the new Fed tutorial.
At first I was not impressed. Looked like the last one with the Disco academy. I thought they got lazy when I went for the phaser and I was sent to a console instead of a rack or an actual locker. I was so happily surprised when an armory slid out of the wall.
No more talk to cadets at the toast, eh. Runabout instead of Type 6, okay. Busier area around space dock was nice. The altered Origin like bridge I liked. The emergency was much better put together and Zarva was great. Kudos and including 'history' as something she studied was a nice touch.
Altered battles kept me guessing since they both increased the map sizes as well as slipped more things in.
Cut scenes are increasing I see. But all in all another incremental improvement from the first.

Ladies and Gents - I give you - the Emperor of the Mirror Universe Not even joking. It makes so much sense considering how much of a screw-up our Wesley is - that Mirror Universe Wesley ends up being the Emperor. I love the plot-twist and I can'
t wait to get my hands on the Mirror Universe T6 Sommerville Scout. It's just begging for a good sci-torpedo build to blast my enemies into bits. Once again - happy to be a STO fan.

And we get Gates McFadden as Mirror Wesley's mom ready to bring him home.
Very fitting!
Also - we get to fly a mini V-Ger that's about the size of Enterprise-J

Re: Interested in Star Trek Online Playthroughs?
So I just played "The Fujiwhara Effect". It was a fun enough episode, the timeline seemed a little wonky to me. When we were going through Emperor Wesley's memories, some of the stuff that was happening seemed like it should've been taking place during the time period where the Terran Empire had fallen and the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance was the main power. Does anybody know if any of the game's creators addressed this anywhere? Or do I just have my timeline all wrong?

Star Trek Online: Both Worlds, Coming January 23rd!
It's time for another anniversary event and luckilly we're once again getting a Khitomer Alliance ship. And this time it's the one a lot of people have been waiting for. A Federation/Dominion hybrid. Watched a Ten Forward Podcast where they discussed and the amount of thought and consideration put into it (so it's recognisable mix of two factions without looking too much like one of them) and it's a Pilot escort ship (with Pilot maneuvers and Alliance vanguards) inspired by the Jem'Hadar Attack ship as well as the Federation Escorts and it looks awesome - both stat-wise and it's look.
Also - we're getting both new Nicole de Boer as Ezri Dax (and returning) Garret Wang and Kipleigh Brown as Harry Kim and Kuumaarke. Also if you haven't played the last two episodes - I highly reccomend it. They're keeping a very high standard of their storytelling and design quality - also Star Trek once again dunks on poor Harry Kim.
And he thought it'd end when he became a captain
