That doesn’t make any sense. If that were the case then Rise of Skywalker wouldn’t have spent half its runtime inventing an entire alternate episode 8, then completely forgotten to follow up on the lingering plots still left from Force Awakens.
Where’s Finn leading the stormtrooper rebellion is what I’m saying
What is the best of Disney Star Wars?
Re: What is the best of Disney Star Wars?
From what I understand most of what happened in ROS Was the basic premise for Abrams' ideas for Episodes 8 and 9. Things like Kylo hunting Rey as she learns more about her past, confronting the man who turned Kylo to the Dark Side were, if I'm correct, the basic story of Abrams' 8 and 9 but was thrown aside in favor of what we got in TLJ.CmdrKing wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 3:37 am That doesn’t make any sense. Something else that has been more or less confirmed by both Abrams and Boyega that Finn was suppose to have a more major role in the Trilogy and might have even become the True Protagonist of the Trilogy. While this is not entirely confirmed what is known is Johnson thought Finn was boring so stuck him in a meaningless B Plot to get him out of the way while basically relearning his lesson from TFA. Finn is arguably the most screwed over of the new characters and with She-Ra showing what can be done with this idea of a Minion of Evil Turned Rebel Hero with Magic Powers you REALLY see just HOW badly he was wasted.

I liked the Solo movie. It knew had to use the character and was willing to step away from the story of the original trilogy and do some world building that didn't revolve around the force or the galactic empire.
I wish they did more stuff like this.

I will ALWAYS be baffled by how last jedi got made. Like, if it was its own film, I could see it, but next to Force awakens? What were they honestly THINKING?
But yeah, best of disney star wars... I like Mandalorian season 1 and 2, I liked Andor except for the parts with Andor (I actually greatly dislike Andor the character), I like the jedi games they made, bringing back clone wars is dope (but they were the reason it was cancelled so) Visions was neat... I guess Rogue one was fine?

Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

I liked Rogue One - the Battle of Scarif made me feel a bit like a kid again seeing Star Wars for the first time (well, maybe Return of the Jedi because I saw that one in the cinema when it first came out but was too young for the first two).
Re: What is the best of Disney Star Wars?
It baffles alot of people. Like how it was written in the first place by Johnson and no one batted an eye? There is alot of issues with that movie even if you ignore that it ends plot threads that should have been important for a trilogy.Nobody700 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 3:39 pm I will ALWAYS be baffled by how last jedi got made. We all knew and they knew it was supposed to be a trilogy. Connected to the previous two trilogies in some way as well. This alone drives me nuts. Nevermind the issues within the movie itself.
I got nothing to say here.
Re: What is the best of Disney Star Wars?
TLJ really should have ended with the scene where Kylo is offering Rey to join him. It would be a solid cliffhanger and give the next director a lot to work with. Just think about it, the Rebel fleet is being destroyed, Finn and Rose are about to be Executed, Snoke is Dead and we have no idea what is about to happen with Rey and Kylo.McAvoy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 1:46 amIt baffles alot of people. The film would likely still be divisive but I get the feeling it wouldn't be as divisive given that the one thing everyone seems to agree on is the 4th act is the worst part of the film and needlessly screwed over ROS.
It doesn't help that most of TLJ's biggest issues come from act 4. Rose nearly dooming the Rebellion to save Finn, Rey lack of development after learning the truth about her origins, Luke's Death, Kylo showing once again why he's the worst villain in Star Wars and the lackluster final scene. These scenes are what are brought up most in the film and it's all regulated in the last half hour of the film.
