There seems to be a sort of Poe's Law in play with that kind of thing, I've noticed. Media that people rail against for being "too-SJW" is so muddy or poorly-written that I can't tell if it's written by incompetent SJWs or a shrewd troll satirizing one, which just undermines everyone's arguments pretty damningly.

I don't see it with XGB though, at least. The show was diverse and fairly progressive, but doesn't come close to the sort of modern media climate I see in popular movies and shows today. It was never really about those things, except in the inclusive way you'd expect from a progressive teen-audience show.
I don't care if the next Star Wars movie, trilogy or one off movie is written by a GOAT Socialist writer of all time, i don't want capitalism vs socialism themes in Star Wars.

It's surprisingly inclusive for the time and it wasn't played to placate, it felt organic. Personally, I didn't get into the show, I disliked the drawing style and it kept me from enjoying an otherwise well made show. I am absolutely convinced, that it would make a great foundation for a movie.
I definitely agree the art style is... odd. Sometimes it works very well for the subject matter, but other times not so much.

I'm overall okay with the art style but Eduardo always bothered me with his little billy-goat beard.

Melissa McCarthy has thrown her support behind Ghostbusters 3. :)

And it does look like teens (12 to 17) will be the new protagonists, with the surviving original ghostbusters in a lesser capacity.

Very adult of her. I'm sure she wishes they were doing a sequel to 2016 so all respect to her for being classy about them moving in another direction instead. I sure hope Jones doesn't attack her for it...

As for the teen thing... um... Not super stoked for that. The first full trailer will tell a lot. Maybe it can be done, but when you think of the humor and style of the first it does not feel like it will translate well to a cast that young.
