I'm not getting upset because I'm not particularly into the wider Star Wars scene. I just understand people who are. It's rather lazy and dismissive to mess around with things like that and then say "suck it up because it's not really important." I find this especially true in fiction - sure, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but a sign of doing a good job in fiction is creating something that people do start to care about.
