Ah yes, and nothing was done until recently because... uh... Care to explain? Or is some voice actor so powerful he could silence all who oppose him? Yeah, fuck off. Use your brain.
I dunno. How come we knew R. Kelly was a scumbucket who liked to pee on little girls in 1996, but he wasn't charged with anything until 2008? And then that didn't stick, and he wasn't tried again until this year despite never actually *stopping* any of that behavior?

But y'see, this isn't a rhetorical really. The answer is because the world is changing. Because there's more sophisticated tools for victims of such crimes to speak out. For the common layperson to learn the warning signs for abusers. Because despite what you claim, dismissing repeated, credible accusations of behavior out of hand is no longer a kneejerk, unquestioned response of a society who holds nothing but contempt for the safety and wellbeing of women and girls.

Oh, yes.

So part of Funi's counter-claim to Vic's comedy hour lawsuit (context: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oS585U ... Mm7Es/view ) is the claim Vic is Libel-proof. This is legal for "your reputation is so fucking bad we can't possibly defame you". Bold claim unless Funimation thinks they have some chance of proving his misconduct was indeed common knowledge.

Oh yeah, a random voice actor who 80% of the planet doesn't even know exists is just as powerful as one of the top RandB singers who had tons of money and influence. Makes a lot of sense.

There were no crimes and these victims do not exist. There's no proof that they exist. If they came forward and told their stories, I would listen, but I need proof and concrete evidence, not anonymous and vague stories that sound suspiciously similar. And what about all the women who stand with Vic? Or those girls whose photos and videos who were furious and heart-broken about their happy moments with Vic being used to defame him? I guess it's internalized misogyny or some such nonsense?

Again, by your logic the guy from Blues Clues is a zombie.

Yeah, his reputation his so bad that he still packs full houses and brings in ungodly long lines, what a bad reputation. Funimation is fucked. Utterly fucked. Like, they have no hope in hell of winning this, they think by being woke enough they can just make this go away.

Hell they gave the actual sex offender (Scott Freeman) more of a fair chance than they gave Vic. If they had any proof whatsoever, they'd have put it out by now, and if he's such a dangerous sexual predator, why not call the fucking cops on him and give them everything you have?! Why is simply firing him a good enough solution?! Fuck them, hope Sony folds them into Aniplex.

I am sorry that it turned this way. I really am since while it was ChrisTheLovableJerk that started this I had my part to play in turning this thread into this. I have him in block so I just should had not looked what he wrote. I won't make that same mistake again.

Although in a weird way it’s fitting, since a big chunk of the climax is Linkara realizing that MarzGurl’s willingness to be the one that speaks up even if people hate her for it is why she should have been the leader.

Heck, metatextually this wouldn’t exist if the producers hadn’t left so publicly... ie without her.

'Let's destroy a man's life without any proof that he's done anything to deserve it!'

Disgusting cowards. You literally can't even refute my points, you just whine and hide behind blocking me. I'm laughing so hard at you.

I don't mean to come off as harsh, but you supporting this harassment campaign that has faked swattings, destroyed convention property, called neutral parties who weren't convinced 'Nazis', has mocked Vic for his faith, and has intentionally gone after a man to ruin his life, even though he's apparently a super dangerous sexual predator yet not dangerous enough to be put in prison...

Well, it doesn't make you look very bright or morally decent.

When you make a point worth refuting rather than conspiracy theory gibberish that anyone with the most basic of basic knowledge of sexual harassment would immediately recognize as gibberish, perhaps it can be refuted.

Until then i’m Going to talk about the nice radio drama.

So it was weird to me that Dom was basically assigned the character that Film Brain usually played in the CA crossovers. I guess it kinda works since they have a similar “actually i’m Pretty straight laced as a presenter even if my actual analysis dips into snark”, just a weird direction i’m Sorta surprised was there.

I kinda feel like the musical number didn’t quite come together. The singing voices feel too different to me I guess? Best I can sum it up without giving it another listen.

Yep, thanks for proving me right, guy who thinks it's okay to ruin a man's life without any justifiable proof.

You won't refute it because you know I'm right. It can't be refuted because you can't really justify it. You think that if someone is accused of sexual harassment, they're automatically guilty, regardless of all the evidence that says otherwise. Instead of actually admitting to your mistake, you hide behind cowardly non-answers. MarzGurl sucks and deserves what's coming to her. End of discussion.

Yeah, that bit was a low point. Admittedly, I'm not the biggest fan of Rocky Horror, anyway.

To be fair I haven't listened this one yet but I might have to do that at some point.
